Senior care staffing & vacancies
The senior care manager of Elmfield House is Miss Niccii Gillett who has worked within the health and social care setting for over 17 years and has been at Elmfield House for 7 years. Niccii is registered as a manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has a level 5 QCF in health and social care. Niccii works 7-5 Monday to Friday but regularly works additional hours to these.
There is a senior care team of three senior carers who are all trained to level 3 QCF/ NVQ in health and social care. Each day of the week there is a senior carer on the day shift to oversee the smooth running of the shift.
There is a team of over 15 permanent senior care staff whom are all highly trained and do a wonderful job of providing high quality care for our residents.
There is an extensive team of bank care staff who provide cover for regular staff sickness and annual leave. This provides continuity in care and ensures that there is always a friendly face.
We have a cook seven days a week within Elmfield House.
There is an administrator at Elmfield House who works 8-4 Monday to Friday.
At Elmfield House we have a domestic team of housekeepers who maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout the home. A daily clean of all rooms is done 6 days a week and a deep clean once per fortnight unless necessary more frequently.
From September, we will be having a laundry assistant who will oversee the ironing and putting away of clothes. Care staff will ensure the laundry cycle is continuous but the laundry assistant will be in charge overall.
There are four carers during the day on an 8-8 shift; three carers and one senior carer.
At night, there are two carers on an 8-8 shift, these are waking night shifts.
Staff at Elmfield House are highly trained and complete mandatory training during their induction. There are many training courses available at Elmfield House and professional development is highly encouraged within the home. The majority of staff are QCF/ NVQ trained or are working towards such qualifications. There is opportunity to promote within the home and training is highly valued.
At Elmfield House there are competitive rates of pay and this may be reflected upon qualifications.
